staff and Disability Training

At Vitalsen Limited, we are committed to promoting equality and accessibility. To ensure our drivers provide the best service, all our drivers undergo recognized disability awareness training. We understand the importance of adhering to public service vehicle licensing regulations and local authority requirements. Therefore, we ensure our drivers possess the highest level of competence and confidence before being entrusted with the responsibility of transporting children to school.

Our Staff

Our staff is the cornerstone of our service excellence. Each member of the Vitalsen Limited team is highly trained, compassionate, and dedicated to the well-being of the children we serve. Our drivers and aides are not only skilled professionals but also empathetic individuals who understand the unique needs of children with special needs. They are committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment during every journey.

Vitalsen Limited plays a crucial role in ensuring that our drivers are fit and proper persons, that the vehicles they use are adequate and insured, that customer information is handled correctly, and that all staff members are properly trained. This includes training in child sexual exploitation (CSE) awareness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and disability equality.

Policy

Vitalsen Limited's policy emphasizes the responsibility of private hire vehicle (PHV) operators in ensuring that their drivers are fit and proper persons. One of our key initiatives is to mandate recognized disability awareness training for all private hire drivers. Without such training, drivers may be unaware of the needs and rights of disabled passengers, potentially leading to unacceptable practices such as ignoring passengers, unsafe transportation, refusal of service, or charging extra fees.

Our comprehensive training empowers our drivers to address and prevent these issues, ensuring they are fully aware of and responsive to the needs of disabled passengers. Additionally, we have made our complaints procedures more accessible to empower disabled users and address their concerns effectively.
